The workers of the Spirits and Such Consultation Office—Arataka Reigen, Shigeo "Mob" Kageyama, Ritsu Kageyama, Katsuya Serizawa, and the spirit Ekubo—take a soothing hot spring vacation to the Zebra Prefecture. The proprietor of the Ibogami Hot Springs has funded their all-expenses-paid excursion and has requested Reigen to examine rumors of ghostly activity in the region. The tired Reigen and Serizawa swiftly fall asleep on the train trip to the inn, only to awaken to find themselves in a ghostly parallel universe! Reigen and Serizawa, perplexed as to how they got there, must find a means to depart in time to enjoy their day off.
