Koguma, a quiet sophomore in high school, has no parents, hobbies, friends, or ambitions. She stops by a car store on her way home one day in the aim of purchasing a motor scooter. She is discouraged by the price tags and prepared to turn back because she only has enough money to make ends meet. However, as she prepares to depart, the shop owner offers her a ten thousand yen pre-owned Honda Super Cub. She accepts the offer, believing that the motorbike will help to lighten her otherwise dull life. Koguma begins to form priceless friendships as she travels about her village on short excursions with her Super Cub, anxiously anticipating her new life.
