Rin Azuma, a Jiang-Shi yokai resident of Sakurashin, adjusts to her new existence in the city and works at a ramen shop in this arc. Zakuro Kurumaki, Rin's former friend, invades Sakurashin one day to kidnap her and persuade her to assist her in destroying the city with the other yokai hunters and Enjin Hiizumi, the series' major antagonist. Akina Hiizumi and the other members of the Hiizumi Life Counseling Office work to save Rin, 'tune' the yokai in charge of Zakuro, and safeguard the city.
